Just a quick record, simple riffing and good ol' palm mute, using the power amp section of the Mark V and a Quad Pre. Cabinet is a Randall ISO cab, with V30. Mic is a Shure SM57; everything played with an ESP EX with 81/60, but I used only the 81.

Quad Pre is on the Lead 1 channel all the time, and Mark V is on channel 3 on the Mark IV and Extreme modes, 90w, using only pentode. In the end, I also record the same thing only with the Mark V, on the Mark IV and Extreme modes.

So it goes like this, from the beginning to the end: Quad + Mark V on IV, Quad + Mark V on Extreme, Mark V on IV, and Mark V on Extreme. I didn't touch anything from one track to another, so expect a difference of volume in the Extreme mode.

Here is my own song that I recorded while a go. I recorded and played all instruments all by myself using UA apollo twin duo interface and DBX 786 preamp. I played drums via Roland TD-12+SSD.
Hope u guys like it :)

Recorded with a Quad pre (lead 1 & and rhythm 1) trough a 50/50 and a Rectifier 2x12. I used a ESP M-II and my custom kind of flaming V guitar; first with EMG 81 combo and the second with 81-60 (all cleans recorded with the 60)
And a heavy use of the ADA mq1, trying to get as close as possible to black's album sound. There's no postprocessing eq, or no other effects (just fadeouts)
Mics are SM57 and AKG C3000B, and recorded with a Presonus Firebox sound card.

This song is Rise, from The Cult.
Recorded with a 2x12 Rectifier cab, Mesa's 50/50 poweramp and Quad pre on Channel 1 all the time. The guitar is a LTD EC-Redburn; it's similar to a LTD EC1000.

The mics are Shure SM57 and AKG C3000B. It's sound pretty rough and "unfancy" IMO, but the idea was to get a raw and not post-processed sound from it, so no post EQ, compression or stuff like that.

The original song was recorded on dropped D, but I recorded it on dropped C.

Enjoy! :)
